A Mentee will:

Build mentorship and friendship with their mentors and group members

Develop interpersonal and multicultural competencies

Build connectivity to Texas State University

Be equipped with knowledge of on-campus resources

    1. Do not hesitate to talk to/ask mentors
      Transitioning and preparing for transitions can be a challenging process for new international students. Mentors will always be there to support you and share information from their own experience.
    2. Attend I-Mentor events with group members
      The ISSS will organize various events for international students throughout semesters including events for I-Mentor participants. 
    3. Be familiar with on-campus resources
      There are a wide variety of on-campus resources at Texas State University. Be equipped with the knowledge of resources during the program.
    4. Support each other in the group
    1. Accepted international applicants who have decided to enroll in TXST for the semester that I-Mentor is calling for mentees
    2. Accepted international applicants to TXST who is committed to actively participate in the I-Mentor program events and communicate with their mentors and other mentees in their group
