Build mentorship and friendship with their mentors and group members
Develop interpersonal and multicultural competencies
Build connectivity to Texas State University
Be equipped with knowledge of on-campus resources

Expectations for Mentees
- Do not hesitate to talk to/ask mentors
Transitioning and preparing for transitions can be a challenging process for new international students. Mentors will always be there to support you and share information from their own experience. - Attend I-Mentor events with group members
The ISSS will organize various events for international students throughout semesters including events for I-Mentor participants. - Be familiar with on-campus resources
There are a wide variety of on-campus resources at Texas State University. Be equipped with the knowledge of resources during the program. - Support each other in the group
- Do not hesitate to talk to/ask mentors

Eligibility for Mentees
- Accepted international applicants who have decided to enroll in TXST for the semester that I-Mentor is calling for mentees
- Accepted international applicants to TXST who is committed to actively participate in the I-Mentor program events and communicate with their mentors and other mentees in their group
