Correcting I-94 Errors

An I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record) is an official record issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection that documents a nonimmigrant visitor’s entry into and exit from the United States. It includes important details such as the date of admission, class of admission (e.g., F-1), and the authorized period of stay (often marked as “D/S” for duration of status). The I-94 is used to verify a person’s immigration status and how long they are permitted to remain in the U.S.

Steps to Correct I-94 Errors

Notify ISSS about your I-94 error, ISSS will guide you in how to correct your I-94.

Documents you will need to correct the error:

Bring your most current I-20
Bring your passport with F-1 visa stamp and I-94 stamp in your passport
Bring a copy of your electronic most recent I-94 and travel history
