Mandatory I-Student Orientation (I-SO)
I-Student Orientation (ISO) provides essential support for new incoming international students, offering timely and relevant information on immigration and academics to facilitate new incoming students' transition into the TXST campus community. Various campus departments will participate by offering sessions with valuable information. Light refreshments will be served. If you do not attend this mandatory in-person orientation, you will have academic holds put on your account for the next academic semester.

You will be provided a Zoom link the week prior if you are registered as a Round Rock student.
Move-In Dates for Housing
The Housing Department will assign you a move-in date of either January 14th or 15th. You will receive your specific move-in date and time directly from housing@txstate.edu.
You must move-in prior to the orientation start time as if you do not attend orientation, you will have a hold on your account for the following semester.
Virtual Pre-Arrival Sessions
These virtual info sessions, for admitted students, will be hosted by the ISSS office. They will include information specifically for you as about course registration, housing, transportation and how to prepare to enter the U.S. among other important information. Family members are welcome.

Reminder
If you are admitted for Fall 2026, a Zoom link will be provided through the Pre-Arrival communications. Be sure to monitor your email inbox regularly for important updates.
Participants are strongly encouraged to join the session on time. The waiting room will close 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. Students who arrive after the waiting room has closed will be kindly asked to attend a future session.
