About our J-1 Visitor Program

The US Department of State has authorized Texas State University to administer Exchange Visitor Program as a sponsor of the program. The Responsible Officer (RO) or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for the J-1 exchange visitors attending or working at Texas State University are located at the International Student & Scholar Services Office.
The RO and ARO are the only individuals who have signing authority for the program and the Form DS-2019.

Students who are Exchange Students, coming to TXST for one semester through their home institution, needs to connect with the Education Abroad Office as you will utilize an F-1 visa.
