As the Engagement Coordinator for International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), Aragelia helps international students succeed and feel connected at Texas State. She plans and runs a variety of programs and events, including in-person and virtual International Student Orientations for both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses, as well as special programs just for Round Rock students. She also organizes workshops and works with campus partners like Career Services, the Writing Center, the Counseling Center, and UFCU to support students’ academic, professional, and personal growth.
Aragelia manages the ISSS Bobcat Organization Hub to help students find orientations, workshops, and cultural events, and she keeps students informed through newsletters and engagement activities. She advises international student organizations, oversees the I-Mentor Program, and manages important services like the Grocery and Airport Shuttles. Through all of this, Aragelia helps make the international student experience at Texas State welcoming, supportive, and enriching.

As an Immigration Advisor at Texas State University, Cesar supports both incoming and outgoing transfer students, as well as continuing international students. His areas of expertise include managing SEVIS transfers, processing reduced course load authorizations, updating Form I-20s, adding F-2 dependents, and maintaining accurate personal and immigration records.

As Assistant Immigration Advisor and DSO, Sam guides prospective and first-year international students on the immigration components of the admission process including visa requirements and documentation for obtaining an F-1 visa. He also provides support by helping students with meeting immigration requirements before they begin their studies at Texas State University. Lastly, Sam assists with event programming for ISSS and other departmental programs.

She also oversees the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program for international researchers and faculty, building community, breaking down barriers, and fostering a positive and engaging scholar experience while maintaining regulatory compliance.
